What is a personal coach?

As a personal coach, sometimes known as a life coach, I empower my clients to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. These goals may be excelling in their career, becoming happy and fulfilled at home or achieving ambitions unique to them. A coach is not a counsellor, therapist or 'agony aunt'. It is not a coach's job to become personally involved in a client's life. Coaching is about objectivity, structure and empowerment, not instruction or indoctrination.

What happens in a coaching session?

Coaching sessions are usually carried out over video calling software, over the phone or face to face. Arrangements  depend upon your preferences and location. During a session I will ask you many challenging questions to help you to reach your ultimate goal and aspirations. You will be encouraged to make decisions and take responsibility for these decisions.

What areas of life can I be coached on?

As a coach, I utilise effective techniques to help my clients in all aspects of life. As a qualified coach, I strive to be an expert in the coaching, you are the expert in your life. You choose an area of your life you would like to improve and together we will identify manageable steps you need to take in order to be successful in your goal.

How can we measure the success of coaching?

This is a fantastic question! It is actually one of the first questions we will discuss in your coaching sessions. Everyone has their own idea of success, and different people will get different things out of coaching. Ultimately we will need to explore together what success means to you, and plan a strategy to achieve this. I will help you visualise your success very early in your coaching sessions, so we know what we are aiming for indeed so we will know exactly when we have achieved it!
How long will I need coaching for?

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like and I will do everything I can to fit sessions around your schedule. My goal as your coach is to empower you to implement lasting improvement in your life, not provide short term changes. Most clients find life long improvements can be made with 6-10 sessions. Some clients with specific goals in mind may prefer less, and some clients like to be coached much longer or even indefinitely. After our initial consultation, I will recommend a package, but it is up to you as my client to decide.
How much does coaching cost?
